The Welfare to Work Survey wants to establish and record how sole parents are being affected by the Federal Government’s recently introduced Welfare to Work reforms, so we are looking for sole parents who are likely to be affected.

This is a longitudinal study so we want to keep in contact with you in the next 6-12 months to see what has changed for you since the initial survey.

Who are we?

This survey is being conducted by a group of community organisations including The Sole Parents Union with academic support from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Who can take part in the survey?

To take part in the Welfare to Work survey you need to be a sole parent who has a child six years of age or older (or turning six this year), and be receiving income support from Centrelink.

Confidentiality

Your responses to the survey will not be identifiable and will be set up on a database with no identifying information on record.

The survey is available as a Microsoft Word document here:

You can participate by either:

Printing out the survey and filling it in and posting it to us.

Downloading the survey and completing it on your computer and emailing it to us.

Please contact us if you are unable to participate in either of the above ways, but would still like to take part in the survey and we can arrange to mail you a paper copy.
